Big Day… almost done…
September 30, 2008 · 3 Comments
I just updated a family for Frankie so go and check out the latest. Yesterday was a big day for us. We sent our papers to Chicago to get Legalized to be used in the Haitian Courts. When they get back next week, I’ll make some copies and then send our dossier to Haiti!

This past Saturday we made a crazy trip to Americus, GA and back to celebrate the wedding of Kim and Blake. Blake works for Wayfarer and is or graphic artist extraordinaire. It was a beautiful wedding. It’s not often that we get all the wayfarer staff and spouses together for a picture. But here we are. I’m still tired and trying to recover.

Big Day
September 29, 2008 · 6 Comments
Today is a big day in our adoption journey. One of 2 big days coming up. Today all of our papers are on their way to Chicago to get Legalized to be used in the Haitian Courts. Once they return, off to Haiti they go. That means EVERYTHING on our end is done. I can’t believe how long it’s taken to get our dossier completed. I”ll just feel better once it’s in Haiti and there is nothing on our end that is holding the process up. Have a great Monday everyone.
Thursday Thoughts….

Well we have had one busy week.
- My in laws are in town the next few days. So I am also getting to visit with them and with my sister in law who is 6 years old.
- This weekend we are making a crazy trip to Americus, GA for Blake and Kim’s Wedding. Down and Back on Saturday.
- Today Wendy my friend is having her ultra sound for her 3rd child. I think she is 18-19 weeks. They are saying they are not finding out the gender. I’m curious to see if they stick to their guns. Time will tell. Personally… I’d love to know!
- Today is Dawns B-day and Brennan Reichley’s B-day. Love B-day’s since that means we’ll all go to lunch!
- My husband has pink eye. He went away for an event last weekend and came back with it. I did not even ask! Let’s just say I wish my kids had it since I think they would handle it better.
- On Sunday we celebrate the 1 year birthday of my niece Caitlynn. We can’t wait.
- Fall is here. The mornings and nights are brisk and I love it.
- I was hoping to get our papers for Frankie to Chicago this week. But I am waiting on 1 paper from the great state of IN to come back with it’s shiny state seal.
- My camera broke. Not sure about when a new one is coming. But I hate missing out on shareing pictures.

Thank you Jamie!

Dave and I are sitting here on the couch and catching up on blogs. I just saw an update from Jamie and she said that she was able to see Frankie and love and kiss all over him. Tears just started gathering in my eyes and rolling down my cheeks. They are happy tears. My heart so wishes that I were there with him today. I really long to meet him and spend time with him getting to know him. I love each day with my girls and seeing them grow and change and I so desire that with Frankie too. But I am thrilled that he got some great loving from Jamie today. Thank you Jamie. You’ll never know….well I hope you do…. but you’ll never know
Need Some Art?

Looking for some art for your home? Looking for a Christmas gift or birthday gift? Head over to the web site of Steven Bush and take a look. Steven and his wife Maris are adopting a little boy who is just about to be born and are trying to raise the last funding they need. So get a great picture and be a part of helping another family in their journey. A double blessing. I just got the Jesus in Peru picture. Dave went to Peru last fall and he’ll love this picture!

Jamie and Chrystal heading to Haiti today.
September 22, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Please pray for Jamie and Chrystal today and for safe travel to Haiti. Jamie and her husband Aaron lead our trip this past May. They are in the process of adopting two children from Haiti. She is heading there to see them. She will be seeing the Livesay Family, Licia and Lori and doing what she can to help the area recover. It leaves me wishing today that I was heading there as well! Jamie might be able to see Frankie while she is there.
Check out this video as it really shows the conditions and situations there right now… Jason posted it on his blog last week.

Girls Night/Shower Celebrating Kim W.
September 22, 2008 · 1 Comment
My computer at home went crazy this weekend so I had no access to emails, blogs etc. Oh my… that was really not good!
Anyway, this past Thursday we had a “shower/girls night” with Kim Wilkerson. Kim will soon be moving to the upstate and will be officially a part of the Wayfarer Family. Blake and Kim are getting married this weekend and we can’t wait to go and celebrate with them. We had a great time having dinner and showering her with gifts. I am very thankful for each one of these ladies in this picture. They all play a role in making me a better person.!
Paper Update
September 18, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Well… I can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. Our dossier has to be translated into French and yesterday I received all the final translations. So check that one off of my list. And two days ago I sent all of our notarized documents off to get state authenticated. Once those come back I have to send some stuff to Chicago and then off to Haiti our dossier goes. I’ll be the first to say that I am a detailed/organized person. And I will say that I am amazed that anyone ever gets through the paperwork. It’s been fun to see my list almost all crossed out. Thanks for all of you who continue to pray for us on this journey.
